* 'Nicely' is an adverb but 'nice' in 'a nice smile' is an adjective.
  How do we recognize them? Please proceed as follows:
  A nice smile and he behaves nicely at school.
A nicely smile is incorrect   and  he behaves nice is incorrect.
  because we say a nice smile. So, 'nicely' is an adverb.
